Laycee lost 46 pounds. She was tired of feeling tired, and lazy all the time. This proud mom worked hard to release the weight, get her confidence back, and get fit.
11 months apart: The person in the picture on the left was a woman trying to find herself again while adjusting to her new role as a mother. She felt lost, insecure, scared, and worthless at times. She just wanted to be the best she can be. She never knew about the transition she was to encounter.
Let me tell you about the woman on the right. She is happy, stronger, has more self-confidence, and won’t let anybody stop her from achieving her goals.
I have lost 46 pounds. The tips/secrets?
- Believe in yourself
- Be patient
- Drink water
- Incorporate fruits and vegetables in your diet
- Cut back on the snacking, juice, soda, etc.
- Treat your body like a temple.
What was your motivation?
I wanted to feel confident again. I got tired of feeling fat, lazy, and tired 24/7. I was tired of feeling sorry for myself. Whenever I felt my motivation decreasing, I would look back at old pictures to see how far I came. Plus, I wanted to show my daughter that if you have a goal, work your butt off until you achieve it.
How did you change your eating habits?
My downfall was snack cakes (cosmic brownies), candy (Snickers), juice, soda, and ramen noodles. I started cutting down on these items by only eating two of these items 2-3 times a week. Then, I went down to two things once a week. Then, I ate these treats every other week. Now, maybe once or twice a month, I’ll have some of these items. I knew if I went cold turkey, it would come back and bite me in the ass
What is your workout routine?
I’ll do cardio and focus on an area of my body. (Abs, glutes, triceps, biceps, etc.) I work out 3-4 times a week.
What was your starting, and what is your current weight?
I started at 212 pounds, and my current weight is 166 pounds.
What is your height?
When did you start your journey?
I started my weight loss journey on January 3, 2020.
Was weight loss part of your journey?
Weight loss surgery isn’t part of my journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
Some days are good and amazing. Some days are tough. I’ve learned that you can’t rush your progress to greatness. Every obstacle you face will definitely get you to your goals and teach you something. Hell, you’ll be able to inspire people across the globe because you never gave up, and you kept going.
